Previously on TPW....

Whenever I do get sucked into a television series, I'm always grateful to the producers for that 30 second into clip that is obviously made for people just like me that don't have such things as PVRs or lead such chaotic and random lives.

A few years back, Robin and I were hooked on the 'LOST' series, and even if I had managed to watch several episodes in a row, that was one crazy show that required a precursor regardless of how loyal a viewer you were. I can still hear Richard's creepy voice...'previously on Lost'...

Akin with the randomness that is my life, this past year somehow got away from me and I'm feeling the need to fill in some of the blanks that the blog may have missed. Looking back, I was able to capture only a few of the highlights of our time in the city on the blog, but we did so much more, saw so much more, than the archive might lead you to believe.

So then, with that precursor here are a few snapshots of moments you might have missed!

My life as a television series

I admit to have wondered at times whether I could sell my life story to a network. Would it get picked up as a drama? a sitcom? maybe a reality show? Who would they cast to play me and Robin? Would they hire all my friends and family as extras to recreate those past life events and turning points that have led us here?

Nah! I think I'm better off to keep it real, besides I have a feeling I'd be way to critical of whom ever got to play the part of the Potter and the Potter's wife. I reckon it would at least have a good run, several seasons worth of thickening plots....what will the nomadic family do next?!?

Well folks, and this is no fictional plot line, next up we're off to Winnipeg!

Robin was offered full time teaching at the University of Manitoba this coming fall. A tough decision, with our hearts set on returning to the Kootenays after several years now in a row away, but I've since warmed to the idea of another year of adventure for our little family. And since I started really digging around for the dirt on Winnipeg, the list of pros continues to grow.

It's Shhhhhhow Time!

Somehow it's mid-April?!? I'm vaguely aware of the last several months passing by, days full of this and that, probably too full of days. But here we are, it's spring and it's also showtime.

Robin and I spent the weekend at the Art College getting set up for his year end show which opens tomorrow (Monday) night. As the visiting artist he's been working towards putting together a show that will exhibit what he has been working on this past year at ACAD.

The opening will be a reception at the Candahar bar in the main lobby of the Art College from 5 - 7 p.m. So if you are in the neighborhood, stop by for a pint!
